wet braking performance

Is it just me or is anyone else having poor wet braking performance with hawk brake pads . I have HB194F.570 on rear and HB649F.605 on front.
I bought them to eliminate the brembo dust issue and they were great at first but cant get the jeep to stop like it used to. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Re: wet braking performance

Sorry no experience but I was going to follow everyone who uses their beast as a DD and get the Hawk HPS pads but will be going for the Hawk HPS 5.0 after talking with their tech support. Better performing pad all around for DD and hot-rodding dust/grab balance.....that said, I will also be going with slotted Brembo Sport Rotors to help the wet weather as well.

Don't think I've seen many wet weather negs posted on the HPS but brakes are quirky no matter the setup anyway.

btw, the HPS 5.0 part number is same as HPS just replace the "f" with a "b".

Re: wet braking performance

Someone should try the RB ET 300 or 500.

We sell these as a replacement pad for the OEM Rotors.

They have a good bite and the same or Less dust than the Hawks and stoptechs and we can even set u up with a pad that stops so hard they are underivable LOL.

So these can be customized to how you want to stop.

I run the ET500 on my Hellcat and couldn't be happier a lot of the GTR guys are also running the same pad setup and the Porsche guys are starting to switch over now as a replacement.

People running our 2pc rotors we sell also run them and their is virtually 0 loss of stopping power compared to the OEM setup.

Please unless you are going to the track do not buy the track pad they will put you through the windshield no JOKE!!! So stay out of the XT series for daly drivers.

The ET500 would be a decent replacement IMO.
