Re: What are people paying for JC SRT8's?

My dealer is giving me Affiliate Pricing, which he says is 1% below invoice. I'm not an experienced auto wheeler dealer so how do I find invoice price....will he actually show me the invoice? Could someone give me the actual breakdown for 1% below invoice for: 2012 Jeep SRT8 base+ luxury package+ dual pano sunroof+ premium audio system. Is it realistic to ask for a bigger discount? If so, how much? I'm reasonably friendly with my dealer.... could I ask for the DSI (designated special individual) or whatever it's called?

Re: What are people paying for JC SRT8's?

The price I mentioned was before tax, title, etc. With the variability between states, the out-the-door price is not really comparable.

To answer an earlier question, after owning the car for 23 hours, I have had no problems with the paddle shifters or steering. I am taking it somewhat easy during the break-in period.

The compartment door beneath the radio head unit sticks a bit, and the dealer agreed to replace it if it doesn't improve with use. Otherwise, I am thoroughly impressed with the truck.

This is IF they give you the price protection cost:

Invoice: $57,389
Affiliate: $56,816

No, feel lucky if they give you price protection + invoice, let alone price protection + affiliate.

So realistically, you paid around $65,500+ or so unless you had a significant trade. Congrats, and I commend you, because I do not think most here are willing to pay that. Hope you thoroughly enjoy the truck though and it stays trouble free.

Shaggy1, Comparing your deal to the price protected deals doesn't really make sense. I think you got a nice deal. I'm betting that most people ordering now will pay close to MSRP and possibly more. Congrats on your new SRT8!!!

Anyone down for a $17,335 markup?

Anyone ever been to this clown shoe dealer? What a bunch of Staten Island douchebaggery.

Evidently, Staten Island does not have a corner on dooshbaggery.

So the SRT8 has now hit a few Denver, CO dealerships, and I finally got to go drool over one this morning.

Kid you not, the MSRP Sticker showed $62,900 or so, and below that, written in Blue Sharpie, was a +$10,000 "Denver Market Adjustment" added to MSRP. Sorry for lack of a photo, but I was laughing so hard I had to leave.

Re: What are people paying for JC SRT8's?

- I swear I read somewhere that the Denver area dealers were at a convention or something recently and all "agreed" to charge a $10k markup.

-The sad thing, that one at Manfredi actually sold!

If you ever found that in writing, you would be sitting on a very large and expensive lawsuit against those dealers. You might be given a new SRT8 just to settle.

Just curious and only 2nd. post, getting a 2012 Laredo with 26X package, V6 in January. In that 60-70 price region there are some other nice products to choose from such as Evoque, Cayenne, X5, M-Class, Touareg...but with lesser engines I suppose.

Re: What are people paying for JC SRT8's?

Just priced one out on Jeep.com. $65,225 with Audio, Lux Group II, 3 Season Tires, Rear DVD.

Priced on Jeep.ca. $65,180, same features... Since when is it cheaper, or even close to the same price, to buy any car in Canada?
