Re: What did you do to your WK2 SRT today?

Installed the "clstech" drl harness. Simple install and works great.

Just did the first oil change at 1600 miles, Mobil 1 oil and KN filter. That factory filter was a bitch to get off, had to go buy the cap tool.

Finally got my black Jeep badge from the 2014 altitude installed:

I am super excited I love it. I've been wanting to get rid of that chrome for a while!!!

No you're not. I'm of a different school of thought than a lot of members...things that I liked in high school I grew out of. I was all about no chrome, monotone, modded lights, etc. when I was 16. As I got older I began to associate it with juvenile thinking. I even had the bootleg blue HID lights (8000k). I'm not attacking anyone as a lot of my close friends do these things, but I still "clown" on them regularly for it. I want to keep the Jeep looking like it came that way from the factory. Now if the factory offered a monotone/no chrome package then I might consider it. That doesn't make a lot of sense, but then again neither do I.

It's liked jacked up trucks, I loved them when I was a kid, but as a 31 year old man I would be embarrassed to drive one. The only exception are the tricked out lifted Wranglers, they seem to get a pass.

Here is my old High School Ride. I thought it was so sick. Now I think it looks like a turd. All things I can't stand now, no chrome, debadged, clear corners, stickers...

I'm the same but to be honest the more time goes on the more I think the black rings look better. I am almost ready to take them off and get it done.

Re: What did you do to your WK2 SRT today?

Swapped some chrome for black - rear emblem

Thanks to Summit 5.7 for the quick help as it wasn't sure quite how to remove it

Just need to get the window trim wrapped - think I found a place (yes I know many people DIY - but Patience is a Virtue... I do not possess!)

Always bothered me having that Expensive DIFF exposed. Added a factory ORA2 Skid plate.

fit perfect took 10mins to put on.

I have noticed the rear diff temps can get pretty warm, especially on a track. The diff is finned and has a cooling system, but that cover will reduce air flow around it, lowering the cooling ability. Just watch your temps to see if it runs hot with that cover on.
