Honestly mate you have to take my word for it ,if your a fair dinkum bloke who loves a deep rumble V8 sound you can't go wrong with the GTHaus it's awesome sound and in open mode there's no words for it but just smiles and more smiles , but it's droney as hell to at times and that's just my personal opinion :-)

Yeah I guess that drone is my only concern with it really - IF and I do say IF I don't like it , then I'll go the Borla attak Max .... there's a supplier here I've got sussed
Other thing I forgot was a far slicker exh manifold - 351 was saying it looks like Rob Herrod has come to the party over here which is good news

Re: What did you do to your WK2 SRT today?

Yea I seen that post , I'm only going to go Headers if I go SC otherwise I'll keep stock , honestly the sounds good enough for me . Again it's just my personal opinion but the GTHaus is droney at times ,it's really quiet on cruise control or on ACC mode it's almost as quite as stock but the minute you go off these two modes it sometimes gets to droney and annoying , but the thunder mate OMG the thunder it unleashes . RELEASE THE KRAKEN

And that's the caper isn't it mate - you want the Kraken when you pile on the juice , but when you're cruising (trying not to attract the blue meanies) ya want to hear your Harmon Kardon through all 19 speakers

Yeah I have a imminent decision don't I geez

Haha your wrong there mate ,trust me those 19 speakers will deaden out the exhaust ,they are as loud as F**K . Don't get me wrong it not always droney just certain levels of touching the pedal . Hard to explain you need to ride in your mates car to see what I'm talking about , anyway you'll soon see and make up your own mind

Re: What did you do to your WK2 SRT today?

Sweet brother it's all good food for me right now - I needed to get owner opinions not just the pimp I'll hear from the seller if you know what I mean
After all it's a big buck item isn't it

I had a 2001 VX GTS with the Callaway mill - that monster had the best breathing & exhaust system I've ever felt & the sound was insane on the juice pedal , I want to try nailing the same stuff pretty early on my SRT - hence my CAI , header & pipe pre-planning & purchasing mate

The Brembo brake discs I bought are my insurance policy

To be honest, I feel the rim protector is somewhat of a gimmick. It would have to be the slightest of contact to prevent damage. I can't say anything about the noise since I haven't put many miles on the Yoko's. First impression is they are not noticeably louder.

I will say, as rough as the p zeros were they were sticky. I launched on dry asphalt with about half throttle and the Yoko's chirped pretty good. May be just break in.

What did you do to your WK2 SRT today?

Pulled a 4.7 secs 0-100kph time twice tonight. Good runs with the new Injen CAI without interruptions from baby strollers and Commodores. Tank 25% full @ 25 degree C. Very happy even though I thought I'd pull at least a 4.6

Couldn't do a full 1/4 mile as the back streets where I work didn't allow.

Re: What did you do to your WK2 SRT today?

Had a wicked early morning shift at work !!!! ..... I managed to get to speak in person with Chad @ Black Ops about the GTHaus full system & Lip Spoilers - progressing nicely
Now this guy is a champion - geez I wish we had him down under in Australia !!!!
Also spoke with Alex @ Billet Tech - order number 1 has been placed for some outrageously sweet Porn for the engine bay

Life is good

Re: What did you do to your WK2 SRT today?

Just to add on GTHaus and drone, I understand "drone" is relative and everyone interprets it differently. I've had 3 exhaust on the Jeep and I can testify that the GTHaus drones less than any other system I've had. I want to say that GTHaus Open drones less than GTHaus closed

Re: What did you do to your WK2 SRT today?

drone is really relative. the wife is used to riding in my 6.7 cummins with a straight pipe. at 85mph its just over 2k rpms and wailing pretty good. i showed her how to use the remote on the GTHaus but she insists on leaving it open all the time. i suggested maybe keep it closed in the neighborhood as a courtesy to the other folks. her response was "f'em. they already dont like us so i will give them a reason". i think i have created a monster.
