Re: What did you do to your WK2 SRT today?

Found a killer deal on the ATAK system and had to order it...I'm picking up my SRT this weekend, so it shou.d only have the stock exhaust for a couple days.

Mine are matte and I like it because of contrast. I will also have matte black wheels once they come in

I hope you sanded them and primed it first.
If not, every bug and stone will start to chip it off.

Re: What did you do to your WK2 SRT today?

I'm about to take mine back off and have them painted. I tried Plastidip, but didn't like it. Took them off and vinyl wrapped them. Loved that, but the Texas heat caused the corners to bubble and start coming off... I'll just pay to have it painted this time

I didn't sand it. Do you have to do that with plastidip. I think next time I should just get them painted. I added glossifier today will that protect it more.

Yes, very nice, even nicer if painted to match (Jeep logo on them not totally fitting for Grand Cherokee) - see photo below for before and after on Granite Summit

i didn't sand mine, used black plasti, came out fine, about 6 weeks now with it. no issues with 2000 miles and several car washes.

Don't have to sand/prime with plastidip.

Re: What did you do to your WK2 SRT today?

my remaining 3 wheels will be here Monday. Tires are already in. Looking forward to mounting them next week. Also have stainless works catback chambered exhaust which will be installed very very soon. Just need to get some garage time.

We are expecting our 2nd child next Wednesday, so trying to knock it all out shortly!

Re: What did you do to your WK2 SRT today?

Picking up my '15 at dealer today. I have a small pile of parts waiting to go on and a few more in the works. This weekend I will get the front windows tinted to match, put on black grille rings, install SRT front lower badge, debadge sides and front, change out rear jeep emblem with black jeep emblem, put on taillight tint, change out mats for Lloyds SRT mats and install new Hawk and Stop Tech pads if I have time. Waiting on carbon fiber front lip and Injen CAI to be delivered and working on new wheel and exhaust set up.
