Just busting balls haha

Those look sharp. I need to see what size the opening is for my 22" reps. Something is missing with just a black cap.

Winter wheels are on. Black gloss Goliath wheels wrapped in Pirelli ice & snow tires. Amazing how much better the truck rides without them run flats.

I need to put the snow tires on. We are supposed to get over a foot of snow tomorrow in The North Wood Wisconsin. Time to gas up the sleds for winter.

For the money and for winter use I'm gonna say really good, not perfect but good.
But then again the black chrome spider monkeys from the factory ain't perfect either.

I put a coat of paint sealer and a good wax on before mounting the tires so I'll see how they stand up to the NYC winter.

Re: What did you do to your WK2 SRT today?

"Quick" run to Lowe's and decided to take some interior sound video with the Borla S-Type. At times it seems too loud but more often i'm in love with the sound. There are definitely some spots when driving where the sound is almost ear peircing and annoying. Downshifts in track are amazing! Never really hear drone persay.

Still more love than hate at this point. Everyone who hears it loves it. For those who ride and never heard the stock system they say it sounds perfect and as expected stock.

At what speeds do the ear piercing sounds occur? How loud is it at a steady 75 mph just driving down the highway? I watched your video (thanks for that) but I just wondering what specifically you don't like about them. I appreciate any info you can provide as I am considering Borla S for my 2015. Thanks.

It maybe around 25-30 when you aren't really pushing the vehicle ( slow accelerations). I would describe it as a low boomy annoying sound. I don't get the sound much and I'm sure any exhaust is going to have certain spots that if you elongate the period at certain RPMs/speeds it will be annoying. Again it's not a deal breaker... Yet. The S-Type does have it's great attributes though most of the time it sounds well tuned.

75mph cruising down the highway is very acceptable and pleasant. You can hear the MDS kick in around that speed while cruising but you can hear that with the stock exhaust as well...

One last thing that Brimsko will back me up on is that the Borla S type is not quiet by any means it is a substantial increase in exhaust sound. Maybe I'm just getting old (31) but I think any other exhaust option would be too loud for my taste.

These are just my opinions...
