I eventually plan to do lowering springs in the front of my jeep and actual airsprings in the rear to completely maintain the towing capacity of mine.

I will either do a tapered spring or a double bellow. It will probably end up being a tapered spring since the factory uses the tapered spring on the air ride equipped WK2's.

I might add a small compressor and tank but a simple air valve would work just fine.

The factory electronic shocks will keep things tight and if needed I could add endlinks.

Re: What did you do to your WK2 SRT today?

Rear tailgate panel completed and re installed. @qzking for the inspriration
Truly a phenomenal job on the piece. Paint is exceptional. Curve is perfect like it came this way from the factory.

My apologies for not knowing the specifics on the work but i have the below:
Maxim Epoxy by Evercoat was used. Similar to a liquid ABS. Several layers were used, sanded and baked around 140 degrees between layers. Final layer used a waterproof material followed by kitty hair fiberglass. Painted and baked again between coats.

Completed by Mike Miles @ Auto Arts Inc. in Raleigh, NC

Looks great man. I put the black JEEP on the rear last weekend and that is one step closer but i like this even better. Well done.

Looks great! I may try to set up a time to sneak a peek next time I'm in RDU...

In other news, my black grille rings have shipped!

Nice work mate. I saw a body shop about doing the same with mine about 6 months ago, they told me they couldn't do it... Now I know it can be done I will look back into it. Cheers for the pics mate.
