Do you mind sharing by PM what you paid? Did you go with a flat/satin finish vinyl? Do you know if they make gloss vinyl? Any issues with how it fits? I know they have to have seams in a few spots to make the curves.

I used 3m scotcprint in gloss black. Been on 2 years. No need for seems....my guy used large pieces and cut the rear window out of one piece....same with front molding.

Re: What did you do to your WK2 SRT today?

i also complimented his truck in the post, so i dont see why the negative bashing?! i took pictures to send to people that have jeeps that i know would appreciate seeing a red vapor. The badge is just not my taste, not the end of the world, i dont think that warrants me being bashed and name called

I went with a satin black to match my wheels. Everything else on the truck is gloss black and I think the satin compliments it well and also matches the black surface on the roof rails and bottom of the mirror housing.
Like Scott said mostly large pieces were used as to not have lines and separations.

Re: What did you do to your WK2 SRT today?

I just sprayed my chrome with plastidip for now. I needed a break after doing the wife's bmw with the 3m gloss black. Not too terribly difficult DIY. Just takes a lot of patience, sharp hobby knife, smoothing tool, and a heat gun. Take lots of breaks!

I also need to take the grill rings out and redo them, they have a bunch or rock chips on the vinyl.

Just Google 3M vinyl Wrap and you'll get a million and one hits and options. Or you could hope on EBay and get the same.

I was thinking of doing my molding and covering the internal carbon fibre in a burnt orange gloss to match my Sepia Leather and engine block.

Re: What did you do to your WK2 SRT today?

Lol thanks but I meant the installation cost...The vinyl itself is the cheap part. I'm not comfortable doing it myself and expecting a good outcome.
