Yes, it should be covered. I had a tiny scratch(less than an inch)on one of mine from what appear to be a stray impact socket and they replaced it without hassle. It was hardly noticeable, but was clearly through the black chrome coating so I was worried about future corrosion.

Re: What did you do to your WK2 SRT today?

By the way, as incredibly skeptical as I was about the product, the Armor All Wheel Protectant crap is unreal at protecting the black goliaths on my red vapor...I literally cannot believe this junk works as well as it does.

For the first couple of month, I would wash the truck thoroughly (Adam's deep wheel cleaner to get through the insane brake dust), and within a wheel the front wheels especially would be pure dull charcoal gray from dust (LA traffic doesn't help).

I have actually not washed the truck (it's criminally dirty everything else) in almost 6 weeks and the front wheels are only now starting to show a little dust on the spokes...and the red calipers are still bright and have no dust on them at all.

It's frankly amazing...I have no idea how this stuff works but it must set up some kind of repellent charge.

HIGHLY recommended for the $16 at Autozone for the big can, which I estimate would last at least 4-5 washes. Completely eliminated my dilemma of considering sacrificing stopping power to cut back on the dust some.

EDIT: Note that I live in LA where it never rains...I have no idea if it would hold up to actual weather, as we have none, regrettably.

By the way finally washed the car today...this stuff is some strange chemistry. It literally cannot be wetted...You can blast the hose at it full blast and when you turn it off the wheel is completely and totally dry (and what brake dust was there just washed away with the water). So it's obviously hyper hydrophobic as well as repellent of brake dust.

I use this stuff as well. For me it does a pretty good job repelling most (but not all) brake dust and cleanup is definitely a lot easier. I learned the hard way not to lay it on too thick or it will cloud and run, so I apply thin coats like spray paint.
