I stand corrected on the finish, it is not a powder coat finish (like the Goliath wheels I got from the same vendor) it is in fact a cheap spray paint job with a clear coat over it. I think I could have done a better job with some spray cans. Not too happy with it. Really didn't notice how bad and how little paint they used until I started the mounting process. The inside of the rim is barely painted, maybe some over spray from the way it looks.

At this point I'm just gonna keep them on until I change over to the winter wheels which is like October, and then send them out to get a real gloss black powder job.

Paid sales tax and licensing. $1380, only on the difference between our trade value and purchase price of the Heep...~$16k. Glad I didn't owe sales tax on the full purchase price haha

Re: What did you do to your WK2 SRT today?

Hey guys. I purchased the spoiler from Scott and Black Ops Auto and after just 9 days, it fell off. My dealer used 3M but frankly we were concerned if it was adhearing to the hood well enough to hold. The spoiler has a curvature and perhaps we should have used a wider tape? Ours was pretty slim.

Does anyone who have this spoiler have any tips? Thanks. My spoiler is now getting repaired for nicks and new paint. I am thankful if fell off while parked and not while on highway.

Rear spoiler or front splitter? I'm not sure which one would be near the hood.

you can run to Home Depot and pick up a roll of their Extreme Duty Exterior Double stick tape. I use it on my rocker blades on my other car. It sticks like crazy. Prep with rubbing alcohol

There is no way that should have fallen off after 9 days. My top and bottom were installed 2 months ago with 3M double sided tape and there is no way it will fall off, it barley moves when you try to put pressure on it. The surface needs to be cleaned properly and make sure you use the 20 pound version of the tape. I used two strips running the length and it is great. The tape is even rock solid with the top spoiler on the fin. Again the surface has to be cleaned and make sure there is no wax.

Like everyone mentioned a Clean surface is Key here.

Put the strip in the sun with the tape on it for a few hrs. also keep the truck in the sun clean good and press hard if you like use some blue tape so you are sure it is stuck then take the tape off the following day. Let the truck cool down don't tape on then park in the shade keep it in the sun let the sun go down and let the part cool in position until the AM should be good I just saw one the other day on someones truck an actually gave it a tug and it wasn't going anyplace. Feel free to call if you have any questions not answered here k

That's disappointing. I was thinking about going 22's next summer but not going to sacrifice for a crappy finish.
