Same. No more suitcases. Just beautiful tubes coated in black ceramic. Took less than three weeks to arrive. The sound is incredible! Just use headphones when you listen to the YouTube clip I uploaded.

Re: What did you do to your WK2 SRT today?

weather has been great here, so sunny the last couple days so…..swapped out the winter rim/tire setup back to oem spiders and summers again….loving them all over again.

took the doors off the JK, put on the tube doors, and quadratec second set of OEM rep mirrors installed…..the JK has been sitting for the last few months due to busy life, new house etc….so had to jump it to start..haha..going to set up a pulley system to hoist the hardtop in the garage to the ceiling….have to do that this week.

vacuumed both rigs too…..dressed up the SRT tires after i took the pic..

Love the tubes on the JK. I keep trying to convince myself to buy one, but I use the bed of the Raptor too much to switch to the Wrangler chassis. Yours makes me think though, especially with the color! Beautiful ride you have there!
Gig 'em!

And, for my what did you do today? I washed my WK in the garage with ONR. Little cold front coming through, no worries, just pull her in and close the doors!

They really are an awesome rig…..I been in a raptor and those are beauties too…just two totally different beasts….if you need a bed…you could always buy a small trailer….unless its something you need everyday….Ive owned this JK since Oct 2006, dam near 10 years old now….was the first JKU Rubicon in BC Canada from what Im aware of….Ive used it as it intended and I will never sell it….its look nice from a distance, but I assure you it has allot of natural pin striping….and the underneath looks like a rock crawler should…but hey, its a jeep and no pavement princess!!!

once day a big hemi or a LS will nestle itself under the hood….but it will always remain a 6spd.

Awesome!

But, can a JK tow a 8k-lb boat?

I have an offshore boat I tow as well, guess I could have mentioned that. The Rap has been good to me. But, I fear it may be gone soon as we're about to buy another home/move and I don't think I'm keeping the boosted Jeep AND the truck. I can say for sure that teh WK isn't going anywhere.

Using this stuff. I know it won't 100% eliminate brake dust sticking but should help for cleaning.

I love that product and have been using it for years...going to do that to my Goliath's this weekend. Thanks for the pics

Re: What did you do to your WK2 SRT today?

I put an AEM dry filter in, cant say I noticed a difference but I was glad to dump that stock paper filter. This flows 513cfm I believe

Check out this IAT reading after idling for 5 minutes. I have got to find a way to seal the airbox and direct better air into it.

At the weekend I built a couple of different intakes and tested them out for heat soak, there was absolutely no difference from the stock intake in sound, heat or performance.

I attached a pic of one to this post. Even if I didn't have 4" filters kicking around it would have cost less than $100 to make what you see in the pic, including the filter. Also, the sheilds on most of the CAI you see do nothing, so many gaps around them they are pointless.

I've also ordered an Injen but wish I hadn't as I doubt I'll use it.

What I should do. Instead of spending next weekend playing with 4" alu tube, filler rods and other bits and peices, I should just order the bWoody intake. But I do like to mess about in the garage.

If you want to keep the stock air box you could use some ducting, drill decent sized holes in the lower air box and direct them to the lower grill. Not pretty, clean or the best solution. Like I said, buying the bWoody would be easier and give you an actual CAI.

Re: What did you do to your WK2 SRT today?

Not really today, but last weekend.

I swear by Castrol, if I use any other oil in the X5 it actually burns oil, for some reason it's never burned/used oil with Castrol.
Dealer changed the oil in the SRT at 1k, I'm at 6k now and the engine seems much smoother than it used to after the oil change. Maybe they put the wrong oil in who knows.

Not my pic of the filter, but same filter.

Ya Im talking to a guy who did that on the other site (CSRT8) and he is claiming his IAT is never more than 7 degrees above the ambient temp. He cut a 6" hole on the bottom of the air box and attached the other end to his grill

He is now cutting 3.9 0 to 60s and running mid 12s. He did remove the washer bottle for clearance which I dont think Ill do
