I swear by Castrol, if I use any other oil in the X5 it actually burns oil, for some reason it's never burned/used oil with Castrol.

Dealer changed the oil in the SRT at 1k, I'm at 6k now and the engine seems much smoother than it used to after the oil change. Maybe they put the wrong oil in who knows.

Not my pic of the filter, but same filter.

Make sure that oil meets SRT requirements for warranty purposes.

That's totally not an issue, any 0W40 will be fine in our cars, anyone that tells you otherwise is filling you full of it.

Those triangles in the lower grill are not brake ducts nor are they functional. Albeit I bet they were supposed to be in SRT's original design, I bet.

They are indeed functional. This is the path the stock Airbox gets its air.

I stand corrected, but not, that means only one is functional, so we're both right. 🙂

Re: What did you do to your WK2 SRT today?

Wrapped. Got the SRT scuff plates from Just for Jeeps... disassembled them to get to the metal portion only... wrapped... and put them back together... 10 minutes each.
