I might try to put mine on this weekend. Depending on how involved it appears to be.

Picked up a new thermostat to help the beast run cooler.

Planning on the same... There are no ill affects to running the 180 tstat without changing fan settings are there?

Are you doing the install yourself. I was worried about clearing the air and such...

Re: What did you do to your WK2 SRT today?

Ive had the 180 tstat from almost day one...not one single problem.

Put something under the neck to catch the coolant...if you can. Unbolt tstat...exchange as quickly as possible. Open radiator cap and start engine....engine will burp the air out itsself usually. Just ad coolant each time the level drops and stabilizes till it reaches its desired leel.

Thanks Scott. I guess I need to get a bit more technical. What is the correlation between engine temp and when the fans turns on? When a tstat opens do the fans need to come on as well or does the tstat being opened or closed not have anything to do with fan operation?

Re: What did you do to your WK2 SRT today?

I would guess they would come on at the same time as having the stock tstat unless the opening or closing of the tstat signals the fans to stop or go. Ive never paid any attention to the fans. i do know this tstat keep my engine around 180-185 degrees even in warmer weather.

Your right. Now I don't like it. Looks aftermarket. May just be me
but I've ordered the oem red 6.4L with black Hemi and the White reflective
stickers for the hitch bezel from the member of the other site.

I will debadge the 6.4 and the oem SRT and rebadge the rear when
they come in.

I also ordered the jet performance 180 thermostat and a k and n drop in

Installed bwoody intake and leg fogs. Still working on a solution for the washer tank since I have the older style one from bwoody and that design leaves a lot to be desired.
