Re: What did you do to your WK2 SRT today?

Missed the SRT key fob that comes standard as of 2015 now, so I finally found a few sellers on eBay. Roughly $80... but way cheaper than the dealer. Did not bother to program or anything since I already have a spare. Don't even know if the FCC ID's match up. You have three options: swap the guts of your old fob to the new one, swap only the back plastic half with SRT and the battery to the old fob (I did that), or program the new fob to work.

Thanks for sharing! My 2016 SRT will be in at the end of the month, and I'm looking at doing both as well. How hard was the step to install? I'm hearing you have to remove the bumper to do it correctly.

All told, I have approx $6k in parts, paint, and labor- the headlights being half of the total.

Lol $1500 per headlight ? Didn't know that before

That's including the cost of the lights and having my Jeep dealership handle the wiring. Like I said, if you have electrical know how you can do it yourself and save yourself about $1500 total.

Re: What did you do to your WK2 SRT today?

Spent entirely too much money

Had the jeep up at Livernoise in Detroit for headers, CAI and custom tune, after 8 weeks (the all wheel dyno was down) and never getting the Jeep back, had to pay more to go back to all stock and get rid of her. Going back Sat to pick her up.

All the parts are for sale - see my thread in the engine performance section . . .

This doesn't sound good. Hope it works out for you.

Damn, their dyno was down again? That caused some delays while mine was there as well.

Sorry to hear about that. What are you replacing it with?

Re: What did you do to your WK2 SRT today?

Finally got my Eibach v2.0 drop installed...they had only been sitting in a box in my garage since December! The install actually wasn't that bad and I had no issue doing the fronts as some people hinted at. A quick tip...take off the axle nut (1-1/4 socket) and that allows the shaft to slip out of the hub and give you more room. New axle nuts are like $8 at the dealer, so a worthwhile investment, IMHO.

Thanks - it will, just a lot of $$ spent I'd like to have back.

Wish I was told that when I decided to take on the project, might not have gone through with it.
Another of my fav vehicles ever owned. A loaded 2014 F150 Screw and putting a lift, gears, CAI, exhaust, tune, etc. That will be my winter ride and as soon as we find a house we like in the burbs and get settled I'll pick up a 911 turbo for the summer. I'm too anal for a sportscar living downtown in the city and the jeep and truck were too similar.
