Re: What did you do to your WK2 SRT today?

I switched out the OEM black chrome spider monkey wheels for FR Goliath's in gloss black. Not too sure if I LOVE the look, but I also don't LOVE the SM's.

Yea, I like the SMs as well. Too bad you are in PA or I'd take them off your hands - a couple of mine have rock chips in them and there is no repairing...

have you tried Detroit Wheel and Tire's OEM exchange program? They may take them as cores for a black chrome PVD SM exchange....their black chrome is far superior the OEM..

100% rim coverage with no light spots
PVD vs. plating
Nice smoke/black chrome hue

only challenge is you would have to do all four as the black chrome is a diff shade (better) so you would be mismatched just doing 2....if they will take yours as cores the cost would be around $1100...maybe worth a phone call and email pic exchange to vet it out....

Yea, problem is if I'm going to spend over a grand, I'd just get something new/different. Thanks for the idea though.

gotchya, it's just that most of the good different ones are huge money but there are some decent ones out there for reasonable cash...btw, that $1,100 is for all 4 OEM units PVD

I'm keeping my SM's. I think you could definitely use a set of Black Goliaths in perfect condition on Yokohama Parada Spec X tires with less than 5k miles, haha!!

Try changing the lug nuts to the black gorilla ones. That little change may be enough to make you want to keep them.
