Anybody have easier way to get baked on hard water deposits off the hood? ...and I don't mean spots...these were deposits!
I know that Mothers makes a water spot remover product for their box store consumer line, but I have not tried it. I use a clay bar from Griot's and that takes care of anything I have on my paint.

I'll check the parts store in the morning...if they don't have the Mothers stuff...(or Meguiars M47 which I also heard about), I'll try claying.

Re: What did you do to your WK2 SRT today?

I've always used clay to get rid of hard water spots... If that doesn't work, then a mild polish is the next step, but clay normally will pull them off.

As for what I did today - I washed mine as she was dusty dusty after sitting in the garage while I was away snowboarding. I also emptied the catch-can - it was almost FULL! 6k miles since I checked it, and it was literally almost full to the top with straight oil. I'm used to seeing the cloudy/milky output of catch cans, I've never seen it like this. Sure makes me glad that I have it on this 6.4...

I don't have a IR gun but after making a 50mile trip. the non-shielded side was much cooler to the touch vs the metal shield side. with last 5 miles city driving under 50mph. avg intake temp according the Torque App is about 2-5 degrees difference compared to the dash temp while driving but idling it jumps hard to control the sensor temp since it's so close to the TB. I might test with more heat shieldin

Re: What did you do to your WK2 SRT today?

Just ordered my bwoody 4' cai, bwoody sway bar links and emailed Dan @ Thefastman to confirm the 84mm with 3.5mm half shaft mod for the throttlebody (then ordering upon confirmation of exact link to right tb)

Only headache I foresee in the future is fabbing the washer tank set up. I'm surprised nobody has created an alternate set up for mini production yet. Lots of threads though detailing how people did their set up.

Was going to figure out some 22"s but since 22"s make your ride slower... damn it damn it damn it.. going to look at new 20's for the spring to wrap with BFG g-force KDW2's

yes I know 22"s look sweet as hell

Running around a little salty from all the snow in these parts. Thanks to blackops for RM mid springs, it's a lot more bearable till I can get her washed off! Handles great, rides even better than before! A must have for all who are thinking about adding spring to their ride! Added the SRT badge too while she was up on the rack. Thanks again to PhillySRT for that sweet addition. All the car salesmen and service guys were wanting to know when it came from. I'll be sending some biz your way! Fastman throttle body will be here any day.....that's the next instal. Few pics for you.
