the fitting is for the 90 degree elbow on the intake tube. No fitting needed on the manifold, just connect the hose.

I have dumped it out twice now with 9k on the ODO. The first time was after 1k and it had some... The second time was after 7k and it was FULL.

...so...yea, they're worth it.

But what does it really help with, performance or longevity of the engine ? Does it void the warranty and is it removable ? Any disadvantages of having a catch can on ?

*An oil catch can is used to prevent intake system gumming and degradation in a high performance engine from crankcase gases. The catch can contains a wire mesh screen that the crankcase ventilation gases are passed through before they are routed to the air intake. This screen catches oil and fuel mists and just allows the gasses to pass through. The screen is contained within a small catch can that must be drained periodically through a valve. These catch cans are inserted into the crankcase ventilation to intake line with tubing and mounted inside the engine compartment.*

It helps with performance and longevity of the engine by doing the above.

It does not void warranty

It is easily installed and removed. No welding or modifications.

I don't think there are any disadvantages to having a catch can other than emptying it every 3-5k miles. You will be glad you have it once you see all it catches.
