Installing the new afe exhaust!

And an update to my previous post:

I spent yesterday swapping this off as fast as possible. The drone and interior noise was unbearable. Louder inside the car than outside and I have a 650hp Cobra so I'm not just being a bitch.

Waiting for Borla ATAK's instead. Have suitcase muffler cut and ready. Running it like this for now till borla comes tonight.

Close up of flaps in case you guys haven't seen them!

My first set of aftermarket wheels. Glad to be apart of the #velgenwheels family. The fitment is perfect, design simple and classy, and the concave makes them even sportier.

Probably going to look into an alternate wheel color option in the near future with

22" x10.5" Velgen VMB5
305/35/22 Pirelli Asimmetrico

Looks good mate, nice plates.

I am currently trying to organise new plates for mine here in ACT Australia, gonna cost me a bomb for what I want though, it'd be like $2800 AUS for what you have done!!!!!!!

Here's my granite crystal '15 - switched out the chrome pieces on the front and back with black parts from moparamerica.com. Debadged the front. Next up is debadging the side and wrapping the chrome window stripping and belts in black satin so the whole truck will be granite and black.

Seriously considering adding a black satin racing stripe as well, off-set of course. If anyone has done this feel free to direct me to some pics! A black satin racing stripe on granite crystal will be subtle (which is what I want) but car guys will notice.

Not that *I* did it, but Livernois has my Jeep at the track today doing shake downs and final tweaks. Heard it ran an 11.9 first time down... We'll see where they get that down to.

Tried to remove the bulbs today and install 8k but could not pull them out at all. Anyone done this before can't seem to release

There is no release except the plug at the bottom. It's just difficult and small space to work in.

8k bulbs may be a little too blue and have less usable light output. Let me know your thoughts once installed...

Seems to have some stuff on the side holding it. How do I get them off? N I always use 8k.

#2,905 ·
They are just holding it in by pressure. Not clips.

#2,906 ·
So does anyone have a easy way to do this.. I tried turning clockwise and counter clockwise and nothing, but my hand hurting

#2,907 ·
Nope pulls straight back. You can rock it top to bottom to help get it out. Disconnect the cord at bottom first.

#2,908 ·
Thanks didn't try pulling out.. Will try that

#2,909 ·
Pulled them out easy.. Fighting to get them back in is another task.. WTF

No but really I think I tried to flex the metal prongs outward a little to make it easier. It's a tough job in little space...

#2,914 ·
Damn it man... Where you been!
So the twist piece allows the prongs to spread open?
