Just found out two awesome friends of mine ordered me a BT catch can for my birthday. They wanted to get the mod bug going. It worked - just ordered a CF CAI to go along with it.

Re: What did you do to your WK2 SRT today?

What did I do today? I was car #4 out of 100 (or so) vehicles, stuck in snow higher than vehicles because of a class 4 (out of 5) avalanche in the Canadian rockies that happened within 1/8 mile of where I was driving.

traffic was moving really slow.. snow above vehicles. then traffic comes to a dead stop, nobody knows why.. we look ahead and there is no highway. It's all snow.

with a long line of semis, cars, trucks behind me.. and this is single lane at this point, you're sitting. I waited for about an hour, until a huge grater came hauling up in the opposite lane, moving one of the cement dividers between the lanes and plowing the road so we could turn around.

news story here

It was pretty touch and go for a bit. I have Pirelli Ice/Snow Scorpions on and I was still sliding all over the place. the front of the SRT was a snow plow itself, I was collecting snow and even though we were only moving about 10-15 mph.. abs was need a few times. This is at high elevations so it was blowing snow as well.

So I get turned around and an hour later, 20 minutes from my home, blue sky. I had no snow where I was so i assumed the pass would have *some* snow.. but not avalanche warning levels.

Years ago I was in the Wasatch mts in Utah several days after some avalanches ripped down through a couple of the canyons. I could never have imagined the damage I saw done to so many trees...they were literally shattered into matchsticks! It's a sight I'll never forget!

That snow is insane!

Last night I installed my personalized license plate as well as dry charger for the Injen intake. Got the dry charger right in tune for the crazy thunderstorms we are existing today.

If you take a close look I also created a vent through the piece above the headlight. This should provide some more outside air. It is actually the same location other WK2 stock air boxes pull in air.

There is one more piece you can remove to improve airflow above the headlight. It's that 3-4 inch piece of foam next to the opening you created. just pull and it comes right off.
