Re: What did you do to your WK2 SRT today?

Installed LED lights through the interior. I guess I'm going to have to solder a different one for the map light to get it to match up...

I assure they work very well
In NSW they only use Ka for radar and they have a Kustom Prolaser3 for LIDAR, which is a very old crappy LIDAR gun that could be jammed by almost any jammer.

Brought the Jeep to the dealer service centre for the first 1000km service.. Used Red Line 0w40 instead of the dealer supplied Mobil1.

Will try the launch control after I get to drive the car for another 100km with the Red Line Oil.

What's the difference between this and Mobil1 ? The phosphorous concentrate ? Type of material ? As in *why* did you choose this particular brand ? Just expanding my knowledge bank here ^_^

Red Line Oil are ester based oil (100% fully synthetic).. Have been using this brand in my other rides, and so far, I'm able to get good power while keeping the engine oil temp low.

One good thing about this oil, based on my observation when we tore apart my Honda K24 engine.. we were suprised to find the engine clean.. no engine gunk inside and the bearings (conrod and main) has only a slight wear.

+1 for Redline fluids! It's all I use in my 370Z that does track duty. Oil, power steering, clutch, trans, and rear diff.

Re: What did you do to your WK2 SRT today?

Just sharing a little story I had this morning on my way to work.

2 trucks and a bus going really slow, so I blasted the gas to fly through them, only to notice that the road turns with a 90 degree angle. Had to smash the brakes (not fully though, didn't want to oversteer) and felt the diff and traction kicking in heavily. I honestly love how the car handled this situation with great control ... After a few mins of adrenaline rush and driving like a normal human again, I felt like I was on the track earlier .. hahaha

Hope you have a good day/night guys, and drive safe !

Ha - I do that on purpose all the time, but I'm a jackass on the road

(j/k - pucker factors aren't cool when you aren't expecting them).

The Jeeps are awesome, glad you didn't hurt it, someone or yourself!
