Wrapped all of the front chrome, finishing the chrome removal...
All this in my house. Used the tools shown. Any professional shop who says it can't be done is out of their mind. This is only the second time I have wrapped anything.
Whipped out a temporary enclosure to quench my bass thirst. Just until i plan the real thing. My awesome nephew helped me out. I taught him some stuff.
I may carpet it...I may not.
The bass is relentless now! Good thing I did not do ported this time. I will say...hk actually does ok trying to keep up with this monster.
It will be fun trying to get it down lower in the real build.
I have 3 full and a half set of the boston acoustics Z6 components. 2 jl 300/2 amps and a 1000/1 amp. Then of course the 13w7.
I used a loc til i get an arc audio ps8 or a bit one. Might change the head unit too.
I would really like to fit an 8 inch in each door or a 10 in the floor for up front bass.
I still dont have a solid plan for the real system. It will be semi stealth though.
I just wanted something for my 3 week trip that im going on. It no longer runs out of bass when the window opens thats for sure.
Installed Lakin number plate brackets, picture doesn't do it justice. The fit is perfect and makes the plate look real nice against the bumper. Very impressed.
One quick question.. When the jeep is already in motion can I change my suspension mode/trany from Manual to auto, or is it only to be done when am at a full stop? Thanks in advance
Hooked up my Injen CAI. Immediately noticed the improved throttle response driving up the driveway. Noticed a gruntier roar when I gave it some. Only went for a short ride and can't wait to get it on the open road tomorrow.
Install took me about 15 mins. The only thing I don't like is the grommet for the temperature sensor. Other than that, very easy install, well worth the $$$. I can see a lot of air getting into the 'box'. You can modify or remove the little plastic piece to get more air into the front but I'm not sure if it's even needed.
I would've taken before and after air temp readings and sound recordings but my friggin' SRT pages wouldn't come up even after turning the car off and on a couple of times so I couldn't be bothered. After installing it, the SRT Pages popped up though.

Really, I thought they would've addressed this by now. Silly for a A$90k vehicle.
Speaking of SRT Pages, has anyone seen them for the Challenger Wildcat? Simply awesome. You can program shift lights by RPM and all kinds of other crazy stuff. Me wants.
My wife picked up the car today it had the new Driveshafts TSB put in , got the rear headlight module fixed " my fault" , and got the Aircon TSB done and the Uconnect TSB done and they put in new rear shock absorbers in ?? She took some photos of the Driveshafts etc etc but she said the biggest improvement was the rear camera ? , it's not cloudy or blurry anymore it's crystal clear . I joined that petition too and looks like it wasn't the poor quality camera ? It's was just lousy firmware , she took a video and photos I can't believe the difference . Well that's one bunch of problems fixed.
Order these Items from Billet Technology, Front Door Sill Plates just let them sit there at the moment to see what they look like , good build quality but I am not sure now ? anyone else care to comment ..
Too much bend ? Not really mate I just put a couple little bends in you can't even notice with the palm of my hand they look great I'll get some pics if you want , again only so so slightly bent to mould in you would never notice .
It took a month mate , but you being in USA would be way quicker , and to be honest as we all say the photos don't do the build quality any justice . To bend these a little bit to fit in the rear passenger sides I had to push my whole body weight into it they are bloody strong strips , think these strips will last a long time with wear and tear ...Have you seen the amount of different logos or styles you can order ? And colours
Cold air & exhaust first champion - would lerve to squeeze a sneaky 30 - 40 kw without setting the warranty alarm bells ringing
A retune to take advantage of better air should do that nicely
Going with R1 concepts unless I can find 8k to get the GT Brembo kit - decision time very very soon
I too am sussing out all the S/C threads in here but it scares the hell out of me diff wise , even reliability wise shit it will take your outputs up over 410kw easily even at 8psi boost I reckon & torque would be close to 800nm you'd think hmmmmm
Not so interested in the looks with any upgrades I want stonk and function
Hey I did take a 430kw 2014 HSV GTS for a test fang .... and mate that is one scary scary animal - even with the dial on Nanny mode
Yea took the commodore for a spin as well last year , god I brought 4 cars in one year at the start of 2013 until February 2014 couldn't make up me mind , didn't like the commodore but the RS 40 WRX had a shit load of fun in , never owned a turbo before good quick fun , but these SRT I love . But in sadness I no it won't last these jeeps have to many electronic problems there firmware is just to buggy . That's my personal opinion , but like I said going to enjoy it while the car lasts
The Commie didn't like normal everyday drive speeds & the constant stop start , felt dodgy over ruts & that manual box is still crap - you would go through brake pads quicker than syphilis in an Army town whorehouse mate
Geez I hope I don't get a lemon it will destroy me - hope the bugs were addressed in mine before it was shipped , warranty stuff isn't my caper at the best of times
Thought exactly these same about the commodore , my biggest grime with the jeep is the clunking at low speeds from the shockys which they are ordering for me and the clunking of the gearbox shifting from 5th to 2nd and I've had the tranny flashed , and it clunks when stopping at the lights it happens every now and then it's so bad some days it's like I've been hit from behind . But the donk is the awesome bit of gear . Anyway enough whinging hope yours turns out better , my SRT arrived in 3rd June 2014 already done 8000klm
