Re: What Radar Detector is everyone using?

I have an 8500 x50 have had it for years now, and has saved me plenty. Recently have been looking into upgrading to the 9500ix. Just curious, anyone who has upgraded from the 9500ix interested in selling theirs? Shoot me a PM.

Re: What Radar Detector is everyone using?

Can anyone with a MAx post pictures of it on your windshield? I always keep my detectors as high up as possible and I'm concerned with the size of the new suction cup mount.

Ok, some pictures of my Passport Max mounted right under my mirror. While waiting for Blend mount to come out with a version for the Max, this solution seems to work. Don't need the Blend mount now.

It's tough to say. It's pretty neat how the detector syncs up with my iPhone and knows the speed limit on any given road. I was traveling out of town last week and it knew all the different red light cameras. That was pretty cool. I've only got a "live" alert once telling me that a KA police band was in the area that someone else detected. I'd say it's providing $99 worth of info/entertainment. I'm not disappointed with my purchase.

Will you renew your subscription after a year? I really like the speed limit where ever your driving option...

I was one of the first 1000 that ordered the Max so I got a deal for 3 years on the
defender database. I'd probably renew though.

Re: What Radar Detector is everyone using?

I believe you get the red light cameras standard with out the livewire. I have been considering getting it for mine but after having it a week and seeing its capabilities I am not sure I even need to purchase the livewire. I am beyond impressed with this radar. It is very quick and has been correct on the reading every time. Its amazing how many red cameras are around town that I had not noticed but do now that I have the max

Could you post some more pictures of the setup and how you ran the cables for the Live Direct and the Max?
