A good finance manager would tear up a check from his own sainted grandmother if it wasn't a good thing to proceed with.

Yes, you will get a lecture on opportunity cost, or whatever your local term is for how much money you could make if you get in on the ground floor of a Ponzi scheme with your money and let them finance for you. A quick interrupt with "so, you don't want my money?" seems to work to cut that off.

I checked, and double checked. No prepayment penalty in either Arizona, or with the bank. All that would occur if I went beyond the 45 days, is I would be charged a slight amount of interest for the small period of time I exceeded the 45 day mark...... Which I won't be doing.

Something else I've got to learn. The list keeps getting longer!
Ask the sales/service folks about detailers in your area that do good work, where you probably want it clayed, then drop nu finish or similar on it before waxing. This presumes you want the shiniest vehicle in Arizona or will keep it long enough that this type of TLC can pay back should you want/need to sell it.

If you have buddies with glassy looking vehicles, they may know good detailers as well.

Or, grab a bottle of Watkins Red Liniment, contact the detailing supply vendors here, and make sure you grease up your elbows...

Not if he knew what was good for the dealership. They are still making money on the vehicle whether they finance the vehicle or not.
