Re: Wheel Idea..

^ $3k for just wheels, tires not included.

I should be able to get a 20-30% discount on most wheel brands from my friend. So $4k retail should have me in the ball park.

Re: Wheel Idea..

Yea, the company is Cali Wheels in San Jose - ask for Macario. They can custom drill Vossens - they don't fill and redrill. There is no adapter, the wheel sits right on the hub. Yes, they are costly. After tires and wheels, labor to make them fit you're looking north of $6K.

I might be selling mine (less than 200 miles), I will know more later this week or early next.

Let me know, I'm interested.

They're Vossen CV3 22x10.5

I'm most likely selling the jeep, that's the only way I would sell them - I love the wheels.
I just really miss my big lifted truck. The jeep is just too fragile in Chicago for how OCD I am w my trucks.

Re: Wheel Idea..

Wow that's crazy, your jeep was one of my favorites in this forum. I'll never own another black vehicle due to the heat in Houston and how quickly they don't look clean, but for the few seconds they're clean... amazing!

Why don't you do both? Clearly if you can spend so much money on the Jeep you can afford a lifted truck. Would be sad to see you go.

Re: Wheel Idea..

Well I just found out my friend's shop can order the Vossen blanks and drill them for me. He said he doesn't like to do it but will as a favor.

However, I just picked up the VVSCV7 in 20" and it was HEAVY! Holy crap. I never knew how heavy the cast wheels were. A lb or two difference per wheel is one thing but these feel like they'd slow me down a good deal.

Back to the drawing board. Looks like I need forged and as of now those are out of the question.

You wouldn't happen to work out at LA Fitness at Weslayan would you? Saw a 2014 White there the other day.

No, I'm in the NASA/Clear Lake area, there's another white 2014 SRT Jeep in my area but I've never met the driver. If there are ever any sort of events in the Houston area I'd love to come meet fellow SRT owners and take a look at their mods. I'm bone stock and will most likely remain so for a while other than some debadging.

Thanks, I appreciate it. I've thought about getting a second vehicle, I've always loved the e46 M3s, but I end up shooting down the idea when I remember I barely drive the 1, so I can't really justify 2. I only drive about 2500-3000 miles a year.
