When?

Can anyone say when we might see a production version of the new SRT8 on the autoshow floor? I'm tired of the spy pics, I want to see the finished product.

I have my Overland to hold me over until this bad boy comes out.

Already contacted a dealer in NC about one at MSRP!

It's people like yourself who give the General Managers at dealerships the "Market Adjustment" idea to charge OVER sticker price for a vehicle, by asking for a vehicle/getting on a list a year before it will be released.

Screw MSRP!! Think DISCOUNT!

Re: When?

^^^^^ BINGO!!!! I looked at a GTR at a Nissan stealer 9 days ago. I ask "how much?" (MSRP says 85 and change) the douche salesman looks at me shitty like "only one in Wa. state, $112,999, fair market value" I laughed in his face, he replies "be a guy in here tomorrow to cut a check!" my reply, "money talks" I drove by there tonight and she still sits on the floor. My dealer had a "Market adjustment" of $54,599 on my 2010 in January and I tore it off, threw it on the ground and got it for 41,500 after they said no. DOUCHEBAGS!

He was the one who said MSRP, me personally I was thinking invoice. I told him let me see what it is MSRP and options, engine etc and my trade in mileage/value and we will take it from there. All his new vehicles on his website are $2000 under MSRP hands down the best prices I have found so far by any dealer.

I have found the dealerships I have dealt with in midwest and southeast are alot easier to deal with then the theifs in NY.

Personally I dont see anyone giving it to you at MSRP or less the first few months out. Unless you get the employee discount or you find a great dealership.

Well, that I'll agree with. I have some wild stories myself about different dealerships in NY. But, with 2 to 3 thousand dealerships nationwide, there's ALWAYS another dealership willing to make a deal, even locally.

Summer '09, my buddy was considering the GTR, and requested my help. I compiled a list of some local dealerships who had them. Pulled up to one in Queens NY driving my friends M/B SL550. They had a Gun Metallic Premium sitting out front on the sidewalk. We get out and start looking it over. Immediately one of the sleazemen comes outside.

S-"Can I help you?"
Me -"Can we test drive it, or does that have to be pre-scheduled"
S-"I'm sorry, we don't allow test drives on the GTR"
My friend-"That's nuts! I'm not dropping 85 Large on ANY car without first driving it"
S-"Actually, it's 95 large sir..."
Me-"Is the sales manager available?
S-"He'll tell you the same thing, but......"
M/F-" I think we're done here...."

One week later, I arranged a test drive with a pre-agreed upon sale price at $2k under MSRP at a Long Island NY dealer.

Two weeks after that, on a Friday after work, we went back to the Queens dealer with the new GTR, and rubbed their faces in it. And of course their GTR was still there, collecting dust.
