They are quite plain, inside compared to the Overland, not enough features.

No sunroof
No air suspension
No real 4WD
No auto lift gate
No hill assist
Lousy fuel consumption
Not enough buttons.. ;/)
So what's the point? you may as well get a C300.. SRT

I love my Overland.

Maybe ask..

CAR ADVICE: "you’re simply not going to find another SUV that can come anywhere close to this for performance, refinement, practicality, driving dynamics and features."
CARSALES: " listening to an SRT8 blow-by is fantastic. There’s a deep beat, overlaid by a raspberry on flat-throttle gearchanges and a NASCAR roar from the induction and exhausts. Awesome."
CARSGUIDE1 "though it's positively fun on the track, it's just as much a hoot on the roads."
CARSGUIDE2: "Grand Cherokee SRT8 has sports-car-like performance, a generous standard-kit inventory and all the practicality of a big family SUV."

Could go on, but no point really. I've done thousands of kms in Overlands & they're brilliant value as well. But if you don't get the appeal of the manic grin provided by a 4.8sec 6.4L V8 SUV, you don't get it. And that's fine. (Just please no comments it has no tow hooks...)

Re: When Will Jeep Australia launch JGC SRT8

QUOTE=nigelh - They are quite plain, inside compared to the Overland, not enough features.

No sunroof Sunroof is optional but more than 75% of Australian built SRT's have them
No air suspension No air suspension problems, either
No real 4WD Plenty good enough for it's intended purpose
No auto lift gate Power liftgate is Standard
No hill assist Hill Assist is Standard
Lousy fuel consumption People don't buy SRT's for fuel economy
Not enough buttons... People don't buy SRT's for the buttons

So what's the point? One word: POWER. Not to mention much better braking than the Overland.

you may as well get a C300.. SRT Can't tow with a 300C SRT. A LOT more cargo space in the Jeep. 300C SRT is RWD - worthless in the snow. The Jeep is 10x more fun to drive and race. Etc. etc. etc.

Milous, well said.

Does anyone have a photo of a red jeep srt8 with the black rims on the vapour or alpine yet.

And have we found out a cost of the b;lack wheels as an option or spare,

I was wondering if you had any further news on Australian Delivery (Fremantle) of ALPINE model SRT8's, have any been delivered to date?

Thanks in advance

Re: When Will Jeep Australia launch JGC SRT8

guys...picked mine up over 3 weeks ago!! She is magnificent!! was worried about fuel consumption at first, as was reading about 27L per 100kms, but have now hit over 800kms in her and am getting around 17/18 L per 100kms.
A lot of my friends who drive Euros have agreed that this Jeep is something special,,,and the presence she has on the road is amazing. Have had people stop and walk around the car at traffic lights checking her out...and my lady friends have all called her "sexy"...
