Anyone want to hedge a guess ? I am hoping its going to be August (this year) but jeeze are there any other forum members out there with orders for an SRT8 who are starting to find the wait a bit boring ?

I have been told by the sales manager, who is currently driving a 300c SRT8.
I personally would wait 6 months and get a MY2014 when they are released Q1 next year,

Well going by that info JeepAU are BS'ing us again.
There will be little chance of getting a good supply of '13 models for buyers for November delivery.

They are quite plain, inside compared to the Overland, not enough features.

No sunroof
No air suspension
No real 4WD
No auto lift gate
No hill assist
Lousy fuel consumption
Not enough buttons.. ;/)
So what's the point? you may as well get a C300.. SRT

I love my Overland.

So what's the point?
Maybe ask..

CAR ADVICE: "you’re simply not going to find another SUV that can come anywhere close to this for performance, refinement, practicality, driving dynamics and features."
CARSALES: " listening to an SRT8 blow-by is fantastic. There’s a deep beat, overlaid by a raspberry on flat-throttle gearchanges and a NASCAR roar from the induction and exhausts. Awesome."
CARSGUIDE1 "though it's positively fun on the track, it's just as much a hoot on the roads."
CARSGUIDE2: "Grand Cherokee SRT8 has sports-car-like performance, a generous standard-kit inventory and all the practicality of a big family SUV."

Could go on, but no point really. I've done thousands of kms in Overlands & they're brilliant value as well. But if you don't get the appeal of the manic grin provided by a 4.8sec 6.4L V8 SUV, you don't get it. And that's fine. (Just please no comments it has no tow hooks...:p)
