Re: which Fuel for srt8?

Higher octane will help your performance. It is not necessary to run 94. The lower octane 91 meets the criteria for the Jeep. Anything lower than 91 can cause problems eventually if you use it all the time. If 91 or 94 isn't available the lower octanes will do until you can get the correct fuel.

Re: which Fuel for srt8?

I think it depends a little bit where you live as to what octane is available. In my area there is nothing higher than 91 octane anywhere. If 94 was available I would try it and see if there was any difference with performance or mileage.

If I were you srtN, I would try a tank of each and see if you notice any difference and stick with the one that you feel is better.

Re: which Fuel for srt8?

Must admit I have never heard the part about "always stick with the same brand of gas."
Can anyone explain the logic to me?

Re: which Fuel for srt8?

The minimum Rcommended octane is 91 R+M/2. Whee trying to decide which is best between 91 or 94 you need to see if either one has ethonal added. If the 91 is pure gasoline and the 94 is 10% ethanol, then the best fuel would be the 91 octane. It would contain more BTU's then the fuel with 10% ethanol.

Re: which Fuel for srt8?

The gas I put in the Jeep is the same as I use in my Harley with the 103. 93 octane, no ethanol.
