Re: Which SRT8 is better?

The Jeep for sure, but I must say I do have an appreciation for the 300 after driving it at the SRT track day event.

Interesting. I went to the track day on Friday at englishtown nj and have to say that the 300 and charger were my least favorites. I'm a jeep srt guy but was really impressed with the challenger. That's a hell of a machine.

Re: Which SRT8 is better?

I know I'm biased but Jeep SRT all the way. As much as I like RWD (and burnouts) with this much power you can't beat AWD. It's point and click, you're there. Switch the dial to Sport Mode, even faster and sharper.

Speed bumps? what speed bumps? LOL I was racing (following closely) a Supercharged HSV GTS in the back streets and keeping up with him. He could only get ahead on the straightaways plus he was a bit of risk taker. I'm not. On a right turn his rear end nearly hits a curb and a pole. Speed bump/pedestrian cross walk and slows to an absolute crawl to get over it. I lay back and jump the friggin' thing. He gives me the thumbs up, shakes his head and I take it as a win on style alone.

Then you have the basic day-to day-livability, daily driver thing. Hardware store, Costco (papertowel/toilet paper), vacation, beach, fishing, towing, moving, zombie apocalypse - the Jeep has you covered. Hell, you can put the back seats down and sleep in the friggin' thing. No motels or hotels if you want to put your $$$ into something else like beer or more fuel. Jeep were smart to make this vehicle. Just a great all rounder.

Could not agree more. I don't plan to drive mine in the snow, but it's nice to know I can.

Re: Which SRT8 is better?

I've been to 2 SRT experiences. The new charger is awesome on the track, the 300 is a little boaty and the challenger is a bit squirrelly. The Jeeps brakes don't really hold up that well with all the weight on a road course, but with the AWD it is the easiest to drive in real world conditions. The Viper is always about one step away from killing it's driver. My personal favorite was the Crossfire SRT/6, handled so well.

That is correct. They don't even bring hellcats.

I want a new SRT and trying to see which one is better?

I own a grand Cherokee overland and a CHARGER HELLCAT.
I did the SRT experience a couple of weeks ago and had a chance to drive the entire line, driving to the track (85 miles from home) in my hellcat made everything I drove that day seem kind of slow

But to the point - in term of raw power delivery there is nothing that works like the grand Cherokee, the 4wd system is such an advantage in acceleration and getting out of turn. They had 2014 300 SRT, the 300 is the worst of the line by far.
The charger is better at road handling and the challenger is almost as good, and surprisingly more fun then I expected.

So my impression is that if you are mostly straight line and easy turns (not combined with sloping and side slops) the grand Cherokee is the one to get. If you want a full on track car, the charger is your choice. Both need aftermarket 315 tires in the back to be all that they can be

If they only managed to get the jeep all wheel drive into the charger hellcat.......
