January of '10 I had never heard of the SRT8, until one night a kid rolled up to hooter's casino in one. I was very drunk at the time and went straight home to watch YouTube videos and research the vehicle. I had just test drove an '09 C63 AMG, and an '09 M3 as I was looking for a fun car. I woke in the morning and went for a test drive in an '08 that was on the lot for $43,000. I was hooked! I ended up finding the '10 which was just built 12 days prior and walked out the door for $41,500. I liked the M3, I really liked the AMG, but being 6'5" tall and 250 lbs the Jeep just fit me better. Also I think the Jeep looks more unique. The AWD and torque delivery is phenomenal in these rigs and being I live in rainy Seattle actually being able to use the power was a real benefit.

Funny thing about the Jeep, it's the retiree's who notice it more than anything. I don't know if that's a good thing or not? Maybe old farts (50+) just have good taste!!

They wanted 10k over sticker for it. So I made a deal on a 07 Overland. Leased that for 3 years. Let me tell you, every single day I thought about the SRT. I made a promise to myself I will have one, nothing is going to stop me. Fast forward to December 09, I went into Westbury Jeep and I signed a deal to finance a 2010 SRT Jeep for a 48 month term. This baby is mine! I love every day with this Jeep. I never get bored with it. With my Overland, I got bored real quick.

I bought the SRT Jeep because I wanted something fast but I wanted to keep the Utility part and have room to have a few people in the car. The SRT Jeep meets all my needs and wants and there is no reason for me to change the vehicle anytime soon.

Well maybe in 2 years I will add a WK2 SRT to the stable and keep the WK1 in storage.
I'm in the same boat you were. Currently in an 06 Overland. Love it to death, but man I wish it were an SRT8. Hopefully next year after I get out of college I'll snag one up!

If you want one enough it will happen. Have your goal in mind while keeping your eyes open, take your time and you will find one which is perfect for you. It's so worth it!!! Lol!

DaBigBone, there's a black SRT in Dublin at the Toy Barn :P

I know because I work a few blocks away and drool over it frequently. Sadly out of my price range, which is why I just drool. Very tempted to ask them for a test drive...
