Re: who is going to buy it?

^ doesn't have 22's, and the 8-speed may never even be implemented.

Re: who is going to buy it?

I want to buy one.
Whether I do will be based on:
1. Not overpaying.
2. Business.
3. If I keep the 2009 and buy a 300 SRT8 or Charger SRT8 instead.

I am also considering some higher priced options, Audi A7 and the new CLS 4matic.

Re: who is going to buy it?

I'll be trading my 2011 Overland for a 2013 SRT8 if they implement the ZF trans and keep the price under $50K. Not too concerned about pricing, I'll get one at Invoice or below once all the "I gotta have it now" people are done paying through the nose

I recall someone saying the older SRT8's were always in short supply and commanded high prices. That's interesting since a friend just picked up a 2010 leftover for $39K and said there were a few available. The same thing will happen with these, there will be stock on hand by the 2013 model year, mark my word.

Re: who is going to buy it?

As soon as I get my degree and pending I have a job (fingers x'ed) this will be the first purchase! Sure its dumb but ehhh, only live once and I love em so why not??? So plan on grabbing a '13, first years are always sketchy to me anyway, rather they work the initial bugs out if there are any. The 06 WK's seemed to be problem free though for the most part

My bad, I thought I read somewhere that those were 22's. Nevermind, it sucks now!

Re: who is going to buy it?

2012 WK2 SRT8 will be introduced at the MSRP price, at least early on. Similiar to the 1st gen. SRT8's. There will be creedy dealers adding a mark-up of $5k or higher. Chrysler will follow the same pricing methodology as 1st generation, MSRP, no factory/dealer incentives, no affilate pricing, etc. I suspect 1st wave of SRT8 models will MSRP at least $50k. IMO.

I sincerely hope you're incorrect. I REALLY want one but I'm not going to get screwed for it. It's not like my WRX isn't a fun daily driver.

Re: who is going to buy it?

If they don't allow for affiliate pricing I won't be buying one. I plan to use both my Tread Lightly and military discounts. I stopped by my dealer last week and he didn't seem to give a crap about using discounts. The only time they may not allow it is if its a vehicle they have on their lot and its in high demand. I don't think these will be in high demand and you can always simply order one.

spot on. As I said, MSRP at the lowest. This is not going to be any different than any other low volume, highly anticipated release in the last 5 years.

Re: who is going to buy it?

I'm out of the running for this one. I still think the first gen. looks better and it'll be years before the mods catch up. If they ever do, considering the MDS and high compression that comes stock. I'm keeping the WK1 SRT and buying a Challenger. The new body looks like a soccer mom grocery getter. Even my buddies wife said " That's it! I'm disapointed, the first one looked so mean and that looks like a KIA from the rear." Buwhahahahaha! That did it for me

Re: who is going to buy it?

I have a 2005 WK Limited in Bright Silver Metallic with Medium Gray interior. I always get compliments on the color and looks overall. One person who really likes my Jeep told me they think the WK SRT8 looks like a hearse. I could never get that out of my mind. Amazing the difference lowering the vehicle and throwing a large lower front bumper makes to the looks. I like the styling a lot of the new one and I'm very happy it sets up higher like an SUV should. It's exactly the look and performance I've been looking for. Good to see the 5000 lbs towing capacity and the multidisplacement and 12/18 mpg. The interior is perfect and so happy about the paddle shifters. Exterior is bad ass. Too many other great new features (including many already included on the WK2 Overland) to list. Can't wait! Will not over pay though. Affiliate pricing or I'll keep driving what I've got.
