Re: Why is the towing capacity so low?

Quick, why the hell would I want a CTS-V? I'm a Chrysler man. We've already been over that too. Also, I was speaking in percentages about available Jeeps and available TBSS's. I'm sure there's more Snailblazers on the market percentage wise than Jeeps.

Re: Why is the towing capacity so low?

Oops...Sorry...MOPAR...
Then how about the 300SRT8? LOL...
I agree about percentage wise that there are more snailblazers on the used market for many reasons.
#1...They are POS's.
#2...There are 300% more of them produced.
And since not to many people sell 1 year old cars in the used world, take the 2010 production away from the SRT, leaving 8k produced from 2006 - 2009.
That makes the trailblazer a 400% increase in units over the SRT8
That's 4 Snailblazers to every SRT8 Jeep.

Chuck...
So, just by the numbers their should be 4 TBSS to 1 Jeep. And that is if anyone really liked the TBSS...(Who would like that POS? )
With the WK2 coming out..I'd expect those clowns to be dropping their TBSS for the new jeep by the thousands.

Love ya Chuck...

The whole issue of what it's called boils down to all the whining about it being tow capable. What does it matter as long as it doesn't diminish it's capabilities?????? Is it just because you can't get the boy racer center exhaust?????
Where are these leftover 2010 SRT8's?? I might like to get one.

Re: Why is the towing capacity so low?

Yeah they are POS's! But I guess if you want to get a cheap Snailblazer and gut it to be a track monster, you could. The parts for those LS engines are cheaper and more abundant I guess. F$%k that though I thought about the 300 back in the dizzay but then the Jeep came out and it has to be one of the best f-ing things Chrysler has ever come out with and from then on I was in love. I know there are atleast 6 or 7 TBSS's in my town and I haven't seen another Jeep in about 8 months around me. It's like having a supercar in my town. Everybody stares at it when I go out and I even get a few "thats my dream car" from people every once in a while. Hahahaha! It's funny at a stop light when all the people around you are staring at your rig, even the ladies

I'm not sure, a couple show up on cars.com but my friend said it took an internal inventory search by his leasing agent and he had more than one to choose from. He buys all his cars through Enterprise on lease because they handle all his company cars and trucks so I'm sure that played a role in the pricing he got. He could be yanking my chain but he has no reason to lie so I'm inclined to believe him.

I don't know about this as when I walked into my dealer he asked me to sell it cause he had 2 buyers looking for one and he was unable to find any. I'm in the northeast so maybe that has something to do with it.

It's possible this is an isolated find because he already had one and sold it and is the type who would be getting the '12. Maybe his lease agent found one and called him vs. him looking for one. Who knows. I do see quite a few on autotrader used for top dollar so that's a good thing if you're looking to swap one for a WK2.

Re: Why is the towing capacity so low?

I think the WK1 SRT will go for top dollar for a good bit because of it's race capabilityand the amount of performance options out there, as well as the fact that they were in limited production. I can only see them getting into the mid 20's and hovering around there for a long time. I think in the long run they will be something to hold on to.

Re: Why is the towing capacity so low?

There is one on Autotrader for $49995.... 9 miles, but says used...not sure what the story is...but anyway that is ridiculously high - I only paid 45k for mine in 06 and it was fresh off the line and the hype was high....

cars.com FTW! There are always tons of SRT8 on there, have been for years! They literally have the best inventory of cars, how ironic lol
