My wife's jeep was delivered Wednesday. I haven't driven it much, but, her initial impression was very similar to the reviews that have been posted to this site. The car looks fantastic and we believe that the SRT team has delivered, as expected. Hats off to them! So far (2-3 days) this vehicle has exceed our expectations and is exactly what we were looking for.

Just a few quick notes:

We were planning a few exterior mods (color match chrome tail, etc.), but now we think that she'll only get tint for the front windows.

From a few angles, the center of the vehicle (the door area, on both sides) looks like the car is sitting a little high. I think I would like a slightly lower stance. I'll try to take a picture.

The car sounds AMAZING when accelerating on the highway. It is hard to describe, but my wife flew past me on the highway and it kind of sounded like a deep light saber swipe... You also hear the ticking that Chrysler had in the autoshow video, which also sounds great in my opinion.

Driving is solid and to us the car is just as steady, smooth, quiet, etc. at 20 mph as 120mph. This may take some time to get used to for some of the current wk1 SRT8 drivers. for me it isn't a natural experience. I've acclerated and can see the immediate increase in speed by how fast things were moving around me, but you don't really feel it inside. I gave an S6 a taste for a moment. The jeep crushed and I can tell by how quickly I passed the S6 that I was moving quickly, but couldn't really feel it. I expected my neck to snap back and the car to lean a little. I could tell by the guys face that he was amazed. :D

There is also a lot of controls and indicators to get used to (like a green racing flag that lights up from time to time)

more to come... Hopefully mine will arrive before Christmas!

Speaking of compromise, Verbalkint should be banned for big wind, no rain. What, you can't afford a simple camera now with two SRT8's in the stable?

Plus, for the love of gawd, what happens if my wife finds out about this? Jeebus.

That's funny!! Mine hasn't been built yet, for some reason.... My wife is a photographer and I've given her a pretty hard time about not having pictures yet!! But you've seen plenty if black srt8s and hers is going to stay pretty close to stock. She has been drooling over the matte black racing stripes, though. Well get a few pics up and if mine ever comes in we'll take pics of both.

My neighbor has about 8 jeeps. I'm going to try to take a picture that is similar to the jeep garage logo.... ;)

Awesome man, congrats to your wife and you, I'm excited for some pics! And let me get this straight so your wife ordered one before you and then you decided to take the plunge as well? Tha'ts sick if that's the case, pure awesomeness!

Im gonna NEED to see some side by side pics. The thought of just having two new WK2 SRT8 Jeeps is wild haha, one lucky guy you are ;)

Thanks!! She was going to buy a Range Rover and I've been waiting for the redesigned wk2 SRT8 for years. She saw pictures and read the early SRT8 info and was hooked. We ordered at the same time. Mine is mineral gray and hasn't been built yet.

So far she is sold on SRT. I couldn't believe she was ready to start modding. Maybe I can talk her into a challenger SRT8.....
