SO i go checkout the jeep thinking 20k more it will sure as sh1t have this

Re: window lift kit

The only one available in the WK2 is the MY2011. You may want to try a Google search but I have never heard of a kit being available, I would think there would be programming issues. Good luck with your search.

Re: window lift kit

What is the point of this feature? I'd rather use the remote start and get the A/C and ball chillers cranking before I get into my vehicle.

Re: window lift kit

I had this on my lexus and it was awesome. Allowed me to vent the windows a little prior to going out at the end of the day and not have it be 100000 degrees in there. remote start also works but a nice feature either way.

Re: window lift kit

As mentioned it was a feature on the 2011. I also expected it to be on my 2014, but it was removed. I think I used it once when I went to check if it worked.
While these features are good to have, you just need to see if you really need them and will use them.
I would prefer my Flipper Glass, as it is a PIA to open the tailgate to just grab a hat or something small.

Yeah, My wifes 2014 $18,000 Passat does the same as the Audi. Go figure.

We dont have remote start in aus..... thats the point and by the time i stuff around putting the RS i have in , i lose the lift tailgate button.

So id have to find a kit that has both RS and TGL to be viable AND because i live in the country and we have nice fresh air here so i like driving with the sunroof open and windows down.

Re: window lift kit

I think idling cars to pre-cool them is a bit soft. Flame on hard men...

Opening the windows and sunroof for a few minutes before you hop in seems pretty logical. I was surprised the Overland didn't have it as many other cars did.

Cheers,
Steve

Sorry, didn't realize you were in AUS, you may want to update your location.

Loved this feature on my '07 335i. I could hit the button and roll down all 4 windows and the sunroof. My car sits in the hot sun all day at work, but is near the river, so we get a lot of wind and dust that I don't want blowing in cracked windows.

My wife's '06 Accord has this feature as well, kinda dumb that they skimp on it...

Re: window lift kit

2010 SRT has it..Only front windows down work. No up feature. It works great and it will be a tough one to miss. But the flipper glass will be the toughest. Used that feature alot! I guess I'll take 5 more HP. LOL.

Re: window lift kit

well i may have found many solutions

BUT i just need some time to finalise.

I have fixed remote start and i gain that and the panic on my fob, i will be gaining night vision like BMW and bolting on a SC kit.

so its all can bus tuning i am waiting to hear back but looks like ill get all windows and moon roof open/close via fob , mirrors fold when lock and auto windows up, fuel light on and the closest gas stations show on maps.

all fiction at this point but on way to reality.

so i pray some happy days to come
