I am here in S Carolina - had the Pirelli Summers and now All Seasons - love them both equally. If you don't need deep snow tires or going up into the mountains you should not need pure winter tires.

Ya I agree completely. This guy goes back and fourth to Texas during the winter and drives so he needs something that can do normal roads and snow roads at the same time

Re: Winter/Summer/Spring/Fall Tires

I have the Conti DWS on my GTO and LOVE them....

The only thing to be careful of is the soft sidewalls...they will squirm a bit, but they will hold....and they are like magic in the wet.

However, they get really greasy when it gets hot...so be ready to swap them out for any serious driving in the dry....

Pay attention to the load rating of the tires, what might work well on a passenger car may not work on an SUV.
