Re: Winter tires?

Thanks Guy's for the info.. I had blizzaks DM-V1 with my previous WK2 Overland. I didn't really feel comfortable with them so i'm thinking of trying some new brand. Trial and Error right.. I think the nokian is the way to go for me.. I hope it will be a good choice.

Re: Winter tires?

Studded tires are by far a step up, and look great, but not allowed down here, so blizzards it is...

"These rules state two conditions that must be met for the use of studded tires. Note: to date no manufacturer of tire studs has supplied information to the Michigan Department of Transportation that their product meets or exceeds the required pavement wear specifications."

In the end, I decided to stick with the Pirelli brand & tread width anyway.

Here's a pic showing a Scorpion on the left & the summer P-zero on the right.
How much did you pay for the replicas?

Sorry, I don't have the actual quote/receipt handy.

But, I think they were around $300 Cdn per wheel. I got them as a package with the winter tires, from a local tire store.

The wheels are from "Replika" - http://www.replika.ca/categories.aspx?wc=jeep
