WK2 is not exciting me

I picked up my wk2 SRT8 last November and I've put about 7000 miles on it now, but to be totally honest, I still don't care for it. The looks and driving experience just don't excite me like cars I have owned in the past. I've seen the new alpine edition etc. and those look really cool to me. I really like those looks. Don't get me wrong, it's a fine vehicle, comfortable, quick, luxurious and well thought out. But overall? It just doesn't excite me. Anyone have a similar experience?

Other cars I've had or still do have:

Volvo s60r (awesome car)
Infiniti g35 (one of the first in the country, nice car at the time)
Mercedes c230 kompressor (Pile of garbage)
BMW 335i, 328 xi (nice cars, albeit small and common)
2003 Grand Cherokee Laredo (Just a fantastic all around vehicle)
2000 Audi a4 6 cylinder (pile of junk, extremely slow)
Acura RSX (typical honda, did 9000 rpm with a chip in it, solid all around)
Ferrari 360 Modena (What more can I say)

Well, I think your comparing apples to oranges. I've owned a few of the cars on your list and in fact, the V70R was one of the best all around vehicles I every owned. The Jeep doesn't excite me like a sports car but it makes me smile every time I drive it and for an SUV / Truck that says a lot considering I've owned dedicated track cars, 10+ Porsches, Vettes and even a Cayenne twin turbo.

For what it is the SRT8 is great but it's not a sports car and if sports cars are what excite you then this really isn't the vehicle for you.

What is not exciting you ?
Speed, handling, looks ?
Anything can be modified with the right money. You may be better to customize the car rather than taking a hit on depreciation if you sell it. Wrap it in hot pink with white stripes if that works for you.:slapfight:

The only car in that list that even comes close to be exciting is the 360.

As for the Jeep, it sounds like you need to assess what you want from a vehicle. If you want a fast SUV you don't have many choices. And, unless you want to spend 100k or more you have pretty much no option other than the Jeep or a used BMW or Porsche.

Let me get this straight. You're bored with the SRT, yet you include that list of buckets that basically defines the word "boring", less the Modena of course.

How does this sound?

"My sub 5 second zero to sixty, 470 horse SUV is boring even though its only 5 tenths of a second slower through the quarter than my Ferrari"

"My Volvo S60r rocks!!"...my Bad Azz SRT Jeep, not so much"

I can settle this for you.... Although I am a new member on this site, I have always been a problem solver. According to your list "2003 Grand Cherokee Laredo (Just a fantastic all around vehicle)"
I will scour the earth and find a fantastic 2003 GC for you. Since I am a really nice guy I will also take that ol' SRT off your hands. Even trade, interested?
