Re: Introduction: Black Ops Auto Works Rep

Everything you see I've installed, made and painted myself. Like I said I'm not affraid to try new things and learn new techniques. Since I'm so into carbon fiber, not long ago I modified a 3 piece spoiler from RKSport. Didn't like the way the tail pieces hung over the side of the tails, sticking out about 1/2". So I cut the sides off and mold it to the tails. I decided to take it a step further by paint tinting the tails to match the carbon fiber trunk and accents. Now all this was my very first time attempting a project like this, so it was a huge learning expeirence. Since I removed the 3 piece spoiler and went with Danko v2 spoiler, which is a one piece. So I went back to my original tinted/painted tails, but will be doing the carbon fiber tint effect on a set of '09 tails soon. Here are pix of what I've done.
Spoiler modifications:

Carbon fiber tint look: I had to change it because even though it's still transparent I got pulled over and was told to take them off. The other issue was that the pattern wasn't the same size as the actual, but it was the best I could do with masking tape and an exacto knife. The next time I do it, I'll do it the easier way and only use it for shows.

I loved the way it came out and can't wait to do it again...

Thanks! wait till you see it done the right way. which I found out was easier than the way I did, UGH!!!! well all apart of learning. when I do the '09 tails, it's going to look so much better, especially since the styles are different, so I'll play off the advantages I'll have.
