Cool site for paint if you want to color match parts

http://www.automotivetouchup.com/

This site can sell you any paint code you want in a convienent spray can. Robpp and I have used their services many times to get spray cans of paint for our Jeeps color code. The color code can be found on the inside front drivers side door. Excellent products and FAST shipping! I also recommend their clearcoats and supplies.

I use them also. Used them to paint my wheels.

Just stripped them down and bought 6 cans of Ford DSG to do all 4 wheels with and Inferno Red Stripe on the outside.

I'm curious about that site, I've seen it but just never got anything. The paint I used to do my wheels was Duplicolor Metal Specks Retro Red and it was pretty damn close to the Inferno Red . I got bored today and decided to do this:

I don't remember who I saw do this on here but I got the idea from them so thanks :D. I'm picking up some clearcoat tomorrow to clear and finish it.

I just bought some factory PB8 to paint mirror covers and a few other little things. I'll keep this thread posted on the results, should get the paint/covers early next week!

Hey, I got them from USAautoparts.net

They were Putco covers, fit is good, but the paint match wasn't what I wanted. I wouldn't recommend the automotivetouchup spray cans for anything you're showing off on the outside of the car. Match isn't off so much, but spray quality isn't there, not smooth enough and the prep/clear makes all the difference. You need to self-etch these w/ some sort of acid or self-etch primer, then another high-build primers before paint. Im re-doing mine, match/gloss isn't there.

Im going to spray them w/ the pro stuff, 95% match and pro automotive paint and primer and clear, will post up how i did it.

I used the automotivetouchup.com paint on my inferno red Jeep. Inferno red is very hard to match and I used it on my cowl and it looks professional....but you have to know the correct procedures to use to reach the color match and gloss that is required.
