3M Perfect It II rubbing compound

Just thaought I would share something with you guys if you are not already aware of it. I have some 3M Perfect It II rubbing compound lying around in the garage. Thought my new HID fogs might shine a little better had my fog light not been so hazed up with fine scratches so I decided to put a little of the compound on a clean cloth and started buffing the surfaces of the fogs. I couldn't believe the difference and how quickly it cleaned them right up. They look new and shine brighter than before. I know alot of you use their headlight restore but the sanding disks, if they can fit into the opening, would no doubt create more of a mess and a potential of scrating the inside of the buckets. This however work splendidly! Might want to give it a try if you have some kind of a fine rubbing compound in your garage.

The stuff is great.

My work uses it to polish gel coat surfaces. I have also used it to polish up lay up mandrels.

We get it in commercial/quart sized bottles. I have never looked, but is this stuff available at auto part stores?

I live in canada and ordered mine online. I couldn't find it at the local Canadian Tire but that doesn't mean it cannot be found in another autoparts store. I just took the easy way out and ordered it online.
