I just usually to a touch up with the same paint when Ive gotten chips on my wheels. I've done a few sets and thats the best part about diy paint jobs because you can touch them up cheaply and whenever you need to. :)

You need to sand them and also use a primer. I just finished mine but the red ones had no issues, except I cleared them the day before the track and needless to say the became permanently embedded with brake dust.

No vids yet. I might be doing another track day in the beginning of July.

Yea, definately clear them to protect them. Probably shoulda cleared mine more than I did. They make clear coat for wheels (duplicolor I think)...... That sucks about the brake dust.

What kind of paint did you use? I painted a set of wheels back in the day and i used low-gloss black Engine Enamel from Duplicolor (no clear coat) and they never chipped during the couple of years I had them. Granted, I didn't do any wheeling as these were from an Acura, but they withstood winters where copious amounts of salt were used on the roads.
