2005 WK 5.7 Limited w/ Qudra Trac II

Hello Everyone. I am having some issues with my 05 WK that nobody seems to be able to solve.

- When I turn sharply, especially when the car is first started, the car binds and struggles. It sounds/feels like things are breaking apart under the car. Most of the time it goes away after a few minutes. Sometimes it stays for a while. I have had a couple people look at it of course they can't find the problem.

- It happens most often when I am backing into the street from my driveway.

- Recently Check 4WD has come up on the EVIC. This has come on before and last time they just reset it and it didn't come back for like 6 months. But now it's back and the binding when turning seems to be bad.

Has anyone seen anything like this? It's very annoying.

My Dads RAM was doing the same thing...Did you recently have your fluids changed? Did you use the correct mixture in the diffs?!

Edit Quadra Trac doesn't have lockers so it's most likely the differential.

are you sure its the QT2 with the hemi?

Hemi only came with QD II (4WD)...I bet it's the front diff fluid...change the fluid (synthetic 75W-140 of your choice) and put in the CORRECT LSD additive (Mopar; there was a recent posting with p/n) and bet it goes away...If not, then proceed to next step.

You're correct it does have the Qudra Drive II system. I feel like an idiot putting qudra trac, my mistake. I am surprised that the dealer and a garage have not been able to locate a need for fluids.

However it's interesting you said that because my buddy who used to be a bmw mechanic was riding in my car with me and asked if I had gotten my differential serviced lately because it had a whine.

Putting some fluid in is a cheap place to start. Thanks a lot guys.

After looking around I found this video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rNdHmpQQJJQ&feature=fvw

Okay, I called the local CarX to see what they would charge to change the fluids. They said between 40-90, which is no big deal. However, when I asked them if they would clear the code, they said that there is no way that the fluids would cause the Check 4WD light to come on.

Frankly, I just don't have time right now to do it myself. However, I don't want to get upsold my carx too. Do you guys think that the check 4wd light could come on because of the fluids?

I assume new fluid is not going to fix that?
