Been polishing some metal...

Bought a metal polishing kit a couple of months back, with a view to shining up some of the metal bits in the engine bay, alternator etc. Maybe even the wheels (time permitting of course). I also want to get to work porting and polishing the throttle body.

Had a bit of a play polishing a 15" adjustable spanner, which turned out quite nice, as far as spanners go:D.

So last night I got down to some serious business. Started to polish a set of carbs for an MG BGT...pics below;

Not finished with them yet, but it was a good start. Took around forty minutes in total. Can't wait to get started on the Jeep now.

And in a moment of utter stupidity, my mangled hand. Caught it on the stone wheel on my bench grinder and yes, it stung a bit!

Lol. I know, I was like 'what a f***** idiot!'

No it's not my MG. A guy I work with buys and sells 'em. He'll buy one, do it up, use it for a while and then sell it. And he always buys ones made in 1973 or before so he doesn't have to pay road tax. In the UK classic cars get it free. He has never lost money on one yet, always makes a profit.

Here's a pic of it,
