For those of you with a Trinity: Can you please post any relevant info or tips/tricks? I want this to serve as a resource for Trinity owners and potential buyers.

It appears the most recent update is :
DS Downloader (production version)06-16-20102.2.1.9DSDownloader_Installer_2.2.1.9.exe (exe) 6368k

Here is the link to DS website...has some great videos and the entire manual!

I am really looking forward to data-logging some info and really seeing what is going on under the hood!!

well I put the 87 canned tune on last night (I have 89 octane in the Jeep right now, so I need to get through this tank b4 i put the 91 on...right???)...fawked around with displays and logging etc...this thing is cool! 87 canned eliminated some BS that i had at low speeds, and gave it a little more pep

I do not have it with me...but can peeps that have it post what the top 6 parameters to log are???

I like monitoring the IAT temp, oil temp, engine temp, volts...what are some other good ones to watch and log to determine what will need to specifically need to change for my ride?

did you have the predator before? is there any performance gains with the trinity over the predator?

no and I don't know...I think the canned tunes are identical, just with the Trinity you can data-log and a couple other nice features :)

Here's a list of what Johan recommends to log for your tuner. http://www.lxforums.com/board/showthread.php?t=207797

Fundamentally, the predator and trinity are the same. The trinity lets you log a ton more data directly to the unit and you can have multiple logs stored on it. Plus it has the other new toys :D

well I finally got everything sorted out...stock back-up has been sent out to MHP, I routed the OBDII port behind the fuse panel and dumped it out at the base of the A-pillar. I made it so I can unhook the cable and put the port back to its stock location (the cable for the Trinity does not plug in firmly with the OBD port in the stock location)...nice and stealth!

Remove floor panel, panel over hood release and black cover over pedals (2 screws)

A-pillar dumpout

removed OBD from stock location and connected Trinity cable/zip-tied slack

view through fuse panel (now I won't have to remove the 3 interior trim pieces)

I installed the 87 canned tune, this time turning MDS off. WOW is all I have to say...Jeep runs totally different with MDS off! Ran 6.3 0-60 going uphill with tow/haul on but no auto-stick...need to find a safe flat surface to get accurate numbers (also my Dad was in the car). For anyone that has not turned their MDS off, I suggest you try it out...I was absolutely amazed at how much better she ran!!! And FYI there is a new incremental update for the Trinity's CROM file :) (released 7/1/10)

well I installed a 91 canned tune over the weekend (finally ran through the 89)...it took about 20 miles or so but the Jeep really likes the 91 when paired with a 91 canned tune. Again I disabled MDS and I really think that makes a huge difference as well. Finally got a quiet straight and ran a 6.1 0-60 with only me in it. If I can get sub 6 seconds I will be so fawking excited.

Tonight I installed mt custom tune from Jim @ MHP...I will drive it around a lot tomorrow and give my feedback...

And FYI I love this Trinity; it does everything I could ever want and more!!!
