New jeep steering issue
Today the jeep developed a steering problem. Not sure if the 100 plus temps help but I checked the power steering fluid level and it is fine. When i turn the wheel it isn't smooth almost like a stuttering, happens more from a stop when the wheel is turned slowly. Any ideas what it could be? I stopped by the dealer and they felt it too and said to bring it in next week.

Re: New jeep steering issue
from what ive been reading it seems like a lot of people have issues with the power steering pump in the Hemi's. Im going to drop it off Monday, i dont want to get stuck!

Re: New jeep steering issue
Just a word of advice: Make sure the correct fluid is used if topped up/replaced. I have had three different shops (2 dealerships, 1 private) try to fill with atf fluid. I think a lot of the p/s pump problems people are reporting with the 2005-2010 wk's are a result of incorrect fluids being used! There aren't too many vehicles now that require power-steering/hydraulic fluid, and (unfortunately...) some mechanics are too lazy to check!

Good luck!

Re: New jeep steering issue
its a jeep thing! Dealer found nothing wrong but then i showed it to them and they felt it to. We then turned the steering wheel really slow on a brand new 2010 jeep in the lot and it did the same thing.
