Upholstry tear
So, I got a tear in the side pleather in my driver seat. Must be from a button on a pair of my high end denim or some shit, cuz I know my jeep ain't built that cheep and my ass ain't that fat. :).

Seriously... I found the P/N for the replacement cover. How much of a struggle is it to change this out? Hog rings and hog tools, etc? Anyone got a how-to on this?

Kind of a bummer... well, really a bummer... for nearly ~300 to get it fixed.. and the alternative to be a repair shop and have it possibly happen again. At least with a new cover, I'll get another 30,000 miles before it rips again.

Someone got the inside scoop on this fix? Thx! :)

I would go to a shop and have that panel changed out

Re: Upholstry tear
Yeah just change the panel. I work with an upholsterer. He did mine no probs and cheap too:thumbsup:

Try a couple of shops and see how they compare pricewise

Can any Part Number gurus weigh in? 1DF211D5AA = correct part? It shows "cushion". It's damn near $400 bucks... I just need the cover.

It's a rather old thread, but I just had my seat repaired. They did a great job matching the material. The thread isn't quite a match, but no one would notice... and she's got 50k so she ain't exactly perfect anymore.
