Not suprising considering the take rate when they offered the CRD and that wasn't suprising because they charged a lot for that engine, and it didn't really deliver.

Its a shame because these trucks would be perfert for an effecient modern diesel.

Maybe they will drop it for the "domestic" US version, but certainly not for the OS markets.

Milous, calling Milous!!!!!

I think the diesel would outsell the V8's by 10 to 1 in the Euro and Aussie markets.

Some people love them. Caravaners especially (fuel efficient).

To my mind, they'd be good only under warranty, coz when that new tech diesel shit goes bad, it costs MEGA!

truly, one guy here in Australia sunk (underwater, water damage it) his WK diesel, and was quoted $58,000 for a replacement long engine. the ENTIRE Jeep cost him 62k! LOLOL Absolutely crazt shit.

They should purchase the D-max from GM...but then again there'd be no reason to get a hemi then.

Chrysler has access to several diesels for this vehicle. They wouldn't even need to knock on GM's door. And for what? There's no room for that particular engine in the Jeep. It is also overkill.

They "charged a lot"? No. They didn't. Daimler charged a hefty premium for their little POS engine, and the customers were the ones who ended up paying the price.

Fiat today, is not, and nowhere near the Fiat of yesterday.

The diesel has not been dropped. The 3.0L Daimler / Mercedes Diesel Engine has been dropped. I'll let you guys figure out which engine will replace it. I know. :D

Come on bro, spill it!
How many cylinders?
Way over here in Oz I'm not familiar with what other diesels are "in the family".
