5.7L WaterPump need a Sealant?

After having to find out why I was loosing Coolant in my Jeep, I found out it was coming from the Water Pump. I bought a Factory Water Pump, Factory T-stat and Zerex G05 Coolant. I took it to a place and while I was waiting I was thinking if it needed some Sealant, like some High-Temp Sealant to fully seal it. I asked the mechanic and he told me no these don't need it. Only the Paper Gaskets need it (Whatever you call it). He told me that if he did use some sealant, it would eat the Dry Gasket that's goes around the waterpump. Is this true that it doesn't need Sealant around the Gasket????

Thanks!

No need for sealant on the water pump or the thermostat housing, just the gasket.

Thanks Joe! I was a little worried and I was wondering why it wasn't leaking. Lol. It's all good now!
