The one that reminds you about safe driving and that certain features are disabled while it motion and requires you to press "ok" every time you turn the radio on. This is annoying and I want to be able to turn the radio on and not have this screen come up every single time..

This is a safety feature for YOUR protection and for the protection of those around you. People seem to "forget" a lot these days, especially older folks, and everyone needs to be reminded each and every single time that they turn on their radios that operating the nav controls while driving is dangerous.

I believe that one of the upcoming RER software updates will enhance this feature a bit - the text will be red and it will flash on and off. In addition, a verbal voice will come on over all of the speakers and will be preset at 75% volume. This warning will repeat 5 times, and then it will go away once you verbally reply back with "Yes, I have read the disclaimer message and fully understand everything as stated."

Sorry Milous but that is a load of crap!

That nag screen is there to cover the manufacturer's ass pure and simple. To suggest that every driver of a Jeep equipped with the factory nav system needs to be reminded that distracted driving is a hazard, every single time they turn on the system, is insulting at best. So too is the fact that even a passenger can't work the damn thing while in motion. It is all about liability and the freakin lawyers. Frankly what you just described would be reason enough for me to never purchase another Jeep with the nav system.

Don't even get me started on the cost of a new cd with updated maps. I can purchase a brand new garmin for far less, that not only works better but doesn't treat me like an idiot every time it is turned on.

LOL, you got that right!

BTW, the nag screen on the MyGIG radios only comes on for a few seconds and then automatically disappears without any user intervention. This was a welcome change in one of the earlier updates.

there should be a sensor that will let directions, and other things entered, as long as there is a passenger..

I guess I have to live with the nag screen, at least is goes away on its own.

My RER works great but there is a issue with the gps, sometimes it acts like it doesn't know where my car is and the arrow goes in all the wrong places on the map, it does correct itself when the radio is turned off and on. Does this have to do with the settings or is it common issue? Thanks:thumbsup:
