Vinyl Pinstripping.
Edit: for those who are reading and wondering whats going on. I was looking for help buying vinyl pin stripping so i can put nice pink stripes on my mother in laws white 2010 ram 1500 to make it a little girly. I have since found the stripping i need and am waiting to do the work on the truck.

Re: Vinyl Pinstripping.
I googled it for a while. it just took some time to find a place with the right color and the right style with a decent life expectancy of the vinyl.

Re: Vinyl Pinstripping.
if you found a good place please do post it up.

i was saying that more like 'im thinking no one knows in here, maybe try google'.

the vinyl that the sign people use lasts a long time.

in 1998 when i got my green XJ it had white "SPORT" on the front fender behind the front wheel well. I HATED HATED IT

i called ez. he made me trace it on paper as he couldnt find it online. he made me a black set. now his vinyl is one color all the way thru so you get no white edge either. ANYWAY, those 2 pieces of vinyl are STILL on my XJ. they are perfect. not a lifted edge or corner. its over 12 years if you get your stripe in that material === go for it.

even the stuff pete is printingon vinyl, like the logos, its been about a year on the back window of the XJ, not one issue.

Re: Vinyl Pinstripping.
Oh ok. Way back when i had my Old 95 xj i had bought silver SPORT logos for it. I forget what site it got them at but they lasted for a few years and still looked great before i sold it.

You can see it here. I moved it to the Doors and i also bought the newer style Cherokee emblems for it as well and put them on the doors. Back in the old days when it was cool to put all the stickers you had on the windows.

I replaced all the silver trim and emblems on my laxt xj with gold, did gold pin stripes, and gold jeep logos and bought the green and gold jeep Orvis edition emblems for it. I love Fly Fishing and my Jeep was Moss green pearl which was the main orvis edition color. The body is full of natures pin stripping but in this pic its all cleaned up nice. I wanted to do the inner spokes in my wheels green like the real orvis edition wheels too.

This is where i ordered the vinyl stripes last night. Got 150' for $28.00

I will let you know how the quality is when i get it and i will post pics.

Re: Vinyl Pinstripping.
I got the stripping today. They apparently sell TFX premium vinyl which is a good thing. I used to use this brand when i was working at an auto customizing/restoration shop. Ive always had good experience with TFX. Granted i now have 150ft of pink 5/16th pinstripping but hey, if i screw up i guess i will have plenty to start over. maybe the wife will want some on her truck if she ever gets one.

Once the weather cooperates (hopefully this weekend) i will get the truck all stripped and take pics.

I think i am going to go right above the door handles following the body lines. Seems like the best place and the stripe will follow the contours of the body.
